We are optimistic that this order will pave the way to change from GRP covers to more Durable and ecologically friendly solution of Aluminium in teh future projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As part of Saudi Vision 2030, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is embarking upon an expansion programme in terms of sustainable wastewater infrastructure for Jubail Industrial City. In line with KSA’s vision, WABAG has been entrusted with the responsibility for the Expansion of 120 MLD SWTP-9 (Sewage Water Treatment Plant) Stage 6 at Jubail Industrial City for Power & Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (MARAFIQ).
The state-of-the-art plant is one of the largest SWTP being built by WABAG in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region and is equipped with advanced technologies like Fine Screening and Aerated Grit Classifier for Primary Process, Standard A20 Biological Process with Sedimentation and Rapid Gravity Sand Filters for Tertiary Treatment. Also, the plant is equipped with the latest Chemical-based Odor Control System meeting the Royal Commission norms.
Upon successful completion, the plant will play a major role in wastewater treatment and will ensure a clean and healthy environment for the rapidly expanding Jubail Industrial city. The treated water from the plant will be used for irrigation purposes, thus helping reduce the stress on freshwater sources.
